Downstreaming research and technology results from the higher education community is one of the priority programs of the Directorate General of Education and Technology, Ministry of Education and Culture, to increase the nation's competitiveness. One of the strategic efforts taken by the Directorate General of Higher Education and Technology is the Development of Science and Technology Areas, which is one of the visions and missions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, as stated in the President's Nawa Cita.
Promoting Research and Innovation through Modern and Efficient Science and Techno Park
The development of the Science and Technology Park (STP) is one of the strategic steps in encouraging the downstreaming of research and technology results, especially in the higher education environment. The development of this area is part of the vision and mission of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2015–2019 period, which was implemented and confirmed in the form of Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2015 concerning the 2015–2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which was then continued in the 2015–2019 period. 2020–2024, as stipulated through Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2020 concerning the 2020–2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
Prime Step is an STP development project at four legal entity state universities (PTN BH), namely the Bogor Agricultural Institute, Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, and the University of Indonesia. ADB Project No. 4272-INO is supported by Foreign Grant Loans (PHLN) from the Asian Development Bank amounting to 20.487 million yen, or around 2.167 trillion rupiah. The project will be implemented over a period of 5 years, or 60 months, starting in January 2023 until the end of December 2027.

PRIMESTeP's Main Activity
PRIMESTeP is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture to provide a monitoring and evaluation system for grants in the STP development mission. This grant fund is supported by Foreign Grant Loan (PHLN) funds from the Asian Development Bank. The scope of work to be carried out includes three activity components
