A total of 40 private and state-owned enterprises (SOEs), including PT Pertamina Gas and Pupuk Sriwijaya, participated in a business meeting titled “Business Matching and Virtual Expo, Innovation Products in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas Sector” at the UGM Jakarta Campus Building. This event aims to build collaboration between academics and business actors for the downstreaming of research innovation results from the UGM Science Techno Park. The Vice Rector for Education and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between the academic and industrial worlds, as well as fulfilling UGM’s mandate to produce knowledge that benefits society.
The Director of Business Development at UGM, Hargo Utomo, stated that the UGM Science Techno Park will promote the downstreaming of superior innovations to the industry over the next five years. This business meeting also opens up collaboration opportunities for the adoption of research and innovation products by the industry, including the efficiency of raw material and energy use. One of the companies present, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, has opened up cooperation opportunities to support the net zero emission target by 2060, focusing on the development of new and renewable energy such as hydrogen energy.
