UGM Science Techno Park Purwomartani dan Teaching Industry
Science Techno Park UGM (STP-UGM) is a productive research and innovation-based vehicle to support learning processes in synergy with industry and government. STP UGM was developed as a connected zone that combines university innovation or research centers, training and entrepreneurship centers, start-up company incubation facilities, industry, banking, and central and regional governments that enable the flow of information and technology as well as services to run effectively and efficiently .
Research-based business development is aimed at increasing product innovation that is applicable, able to meet the needs and improve the welfare of society, develop the potential and resources that exist in society, and reduce dependence on imported products. This goal is in line with the desires of the central and regional governments in a program to accelerate the achievement of community welfare through job creation and increasing human resources.
Apart from that, research products produced by UGM are expected to not only prioritize the commercial side, but be able to meet the needs of the wider community, by paying attention to the culture of Indonesian society which cannot be separated from culture and ethics (local wisdom). Research-based technological development will reduce dependence on imported foreign products in order to support the country's sovereignty and maximize the nation's potential.
Goals of STP UGM
Especially in the field of education, UGM’s responsibility is not only to produce intelligent graduates but also to contribute its graduates to the development of Indonesia to create competitiveness in the international arena. There are four key success factors that can realize UGM’s vision as a World Class University as outlined in the UGM Master Development Plan:

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) & Biotechnology
Information and Communication Technology (ICT): This cluster focuses on advancements in digital technologies, software development, and telecommunications. Biotechnology: This includes research and development in areas such as agriculture, health, and environmental biotechnology.
Advanced Materials & Energy and Environment
Advanced Materials: This cluster is dedicated to the development of new materials with superior properties for various industrial applications. Energy and Environment: This focuses on sustainable energy solutions and environmental technologies to address global challenges.
